Why events underperform

Brands invest thousands—then leave sales to chance.

Stand fees, stock, hotels, travel, samples and staffing create a serious commercial commitment. Yet many activations begin without a proper break-even target, a trained closing process or a clear plan for measuring performance.

No commercial forecastThe event is booked before required sales, margin and staffing capacity are understood.
Staffing without sales trainingFriendly people create activity, but activity alone doesn't recover the event investment.
No useful reportingWithout conversations, conversion, AOV and hourly sales data, the next event repeats the same mistakes.

Ben and Roger

Built on the other side of the stand.

Ben and Roger have spent years selling face-to-face, running teams, managing event performance and dealing with the realities of exhibitions and consumer events. Between them that is thousands of show days — not a theory about how selling ought to work.

Hello Consumer exists because they knew there was a better way than sending temporary staff to a stand and hoping for the best. We built the company we would have wanted to hire when we were running stands ourselves.

We believe in commercial transparency. These are the questions brands most often ask before discussing an event programme.

VIEW ALL FAQS
What does Hello Consumer do?

We provide consumer event sales teams, retail activations, trade show sales support, event planning, logistics, setup, stock management, sales coaching and performance reporting across the UK.

How are you different from a promotional staffing agency?

We recruit and train salespeople to start conversations, qualify customers, explain products, handle objections, close and increase average order value. We measure commercial outcomes rather than staffing hours alone.

Do you work on a performance basis?

Performance-led commercial arrangements are available where the product, audience and event economics are suitable. Other projects use an agreed project or day rate, or a tailored commercial model.

Can you manage logistics and stand setup as well?

Yes. We can collect your stand and stock, transport it, complete setup and breakdown, manage loading and return everything after the event. Packages start from £499.

How do we know whether an event is likely to be profitable?

We model the complete cost, gross margin, break-even revenue, orders, staffing capacity and potential ROI. You can also use our free Event Success Calculator before contacting us.

Ready when you are

Let's talk about your next event.
